Isla Romantica Adventure
It is located in Cordova, Cebu, Philippines. For you to get there, you have to travel to Mactan via van, jeep or by ferry.
If you took the Metro Ferry coming to Mactan. Go to the tricycle area and "pakyaw" a tricycle to take you to Cordova where Isla Romantica is.
Once you arrive at the shores, take a bangka and at the distance there you are at Isla Romantica.
The place is not island honestly. But more like a boulder with a flat sandy surface. It is really, really small.
When I went there the place was packed it was the second half of May and summer was coming to an end so everybody wanted to enjoy last days to the fullest.
I must say I was not impress. First, there were no cottages available. The woman in charge of the isla offered us a makeshift table and the charge was a hundred pesos. Which looked stinky and sticky and worst it was both when placed infront of me.
There was a dressing room it was big and on the other side is the toilet area. Which had a lot of holes all over it. Defeating its purpose of being a dressing room and toilet because people can see you through those holes. And suddenly you become an instant titlating star because people outside can see you inside.
If you go there take a lot of water with you because the water sold are expensive and food as well. You could even take your own cooking equipment but remember to clean as you go.
Since I came around three in the afternoon the water and the scene was picture perfect.
All in all the trip was a disaster but the pictures presented a different scene.
Do not expect a high end resort at the rock / isla be open minded and look after your belongings.
On a side note, not far from the shore going to Isla Romantika is the White Sandbar just a tricycle or trisikad away.
Again the place is free for all. No cottages no entrance fee. If the tide is high the sandbar's form is emphasized but once its low tide it is just all sand everywhere.
Adventure is out there.
